28/07/2010 Karate Kid 2010 - club promotion at VUE Lancaster
As you all know a new Karate Kid came out this summer. We teamed up with Vue Cinemas Lancaster to promote the
film, and to promote our club. Thank you to all the members that gave up their time to stand in the Vue Cinemas
foyer and show the public what we do for training. The feedback was very positive both from the public and the
Cinemas.
23/05/2010 New training venue in Morecambe - The War Memorial Hall
We have found a new venue for our Morecambe Karate section. We are now training 3-4pm every Sunday in The War Memorial Hall,
Shurch Street. It is situated behind the police station and opposite Poulton-Le-Sands C Of E Primary School.
16/05/2010 Training in Upstairs Downstairs Temporarily cancelled
We were informed of the closure of The Upstairs Downstairs pub in Morecambe. This affects our Morecambe venue only temporarily.
We are actively looking for a new venue of our training in Morecambe.
2/05/2010 Lancaster University vs York University in a Karate Match
Lancaster University and University of York meet every year in a tough karate match which is part of the all-sports
rivalry between Lancaster and York - also known as the War of Roses. Combined Lancaster squad taught and coached by
Denis Koltsov dominated the day and confidently won this year's title.
17/04/2010 Cancer Research Charity Marathon Walk
Three members of our club (including the instructor Denis Koltsov) took part in a charity event organised by The Cancer Research UK.
The aim was to walk 26.2 miles overnight in Manchester in our Karate Gis. we did it in 7 hours and 59 minutes. We also collected £840
for the Cancer Research UK. Thank you all individuals and local businesses who supported us.
2/05/2010 British Universities and Colleges Sports (Karate)
Lancaster University combined squad went to the annual (all UK universities and colleges) karate event
known as BUCS (former BUSA). The squad was coached and prepared by Denis Koltsov - the LMKKC instructor.
Lancaster women came second in Team kumite, Men came third in team kumite. Individual performances of Sarah Williams
(novice kumite Gold), Becky Clark (Senior kumite Bronze) and Bob Feight (Senior Kumite Bronze) propelled Lancaster team
to top 5 universities in the UK!

Gareth Dunkerley came first in the Northern English Karate Championships in +84 kg senior male kimite.
21/02/2010 Dallam School (Milnthorpe) Karate sessions openning
Our newly opened venue at Dallam School Milnthorpe is located in a top of the range Dallam School sports centre.
We train there every Thursday. Everyone (regardless of your experience level) is welcome.
14/02/2010 Lancaster and Morecambe College club opennig
We are proud to let you know that a new venue at Lancaster and Morecambe College was successfully open on the 14 February 2010.
Our mission is to build a karate community at LMC and the surrounding area. The venue is in a the Gym Hall. Onsite parking available.
16/08/2009 New training venue in Morecambe
LMKKC is now also training in Morecambe in The Upstairs Downstairs pub on Mondays 7-8pm kids and 8-9pm adults. All are welcome.

15/08/2009 Karate Demo in Morecambe
LMKKC organised a karate demo in the Upstairs Downstairs pub. Thank you to all volunteers and all those who supported us (parents and relatives).
We've received comments like these: "..it was really fun, thanks!" or "I knew nothing about Karate and now I want to start training".
12/07/2009 Double gold for Denis Koltsov
Denis Koltsov (LMKKC instructor) participated in the 13th Open Central England Karate Championship as a member of Kofukan England team. Denis
won senior kata and team kumite as part of the Kofukan England A.

Denis Koltsov took part in the Annual Kofukan summer course in London.
